Working alongside and in partnership with the Italian geometra who was in charge of the project.
Main responsibilities…
Regular liaison and translation with American clients.
In depth involvement with design work on very aspect of the building ( external and interior)
Choosing and recommendations for building materials ( including flooring (external paving and interior flooring ) including patios .
Help with space planning and internal apertures.
Involvement with and communication of budgeting for materials .
Choosing and recommending and selection for all external and interior windows and doors
Regular liaison and communication of the aesthetics of doors and windows choice of wood, door handle, colours etc )
Helping planning of internal staircase structure and recommending choice of materials.
Recommendations and helping the client choose bathroom tiling and all fixtures.
Including recommending and working with suppliers.
Planning the new kitchen space and helping select all fixtures and appliances along side the client.
Planning and commissioning all iron work for external and internal handrails and stair rails .
My overall remit was to ensure that the client was involved and informed with all aspects of the 2 year renovation process and helping to deliver THE HOUSE OF THEIR DREAMS !
Working in partnership with the Italian geometra was a rewarding and collaborative experience and ensured that the project was delivered with all the necessary building permits and paperwork required for country house renovations in Italy.
